Out with the old

We really like our bridge because it was a very fun activity. Our bridge was very strong at the bottom and it was very a very long bridge.

We did not like that it took forever to make and the design was very hard to do.

Our bridge

It is one of the most common bridges these days and it was the best and strongest bridge we could think of at the time.

Kapa haka

The day was here,we were ready to perform in front of thousands of people. The butterflies were flapping in my stomach,I nervously walk onto the brobdingnagian. The host had just called on B
Burnham Primary all the way from the CBS arena.

It was the 30th anniversary for the cultural festival so we wanted to make this performance special. The cultural festival is when most of the schools around Christchurch come together and show there talents. The cultural festival has been going for 30 straight years.

The cultural festival was great to watch, not knowing if the rest of the crown was going to enjoy our fierce and joyful performance. I felt quite confident walking up on stage as well as being very nervous.

I had to lead the first haka knowing that all these great practices has all come down to this. We lead with our haka and got more joyful with our last two songs.

To be honest I was very happy with our performance, especially our haka. Knowing you tried your best is a very good feeling as I walked off the stage with a smile on my face.

Statistical investigation

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Our groups statistical investigation was how many shots can boys and girls get in 2 minutes.

The type of graph i created was a histograph, the bottom right one is the one i created.

The results show that boys and girls can shoot the same amount of shots in 2 minutes combining all the boys and all the girls scores.

speech and mihi

The class said i did the following things well , I had great flow and it was very consistent...

I had great volume and every body could hear me.

The class wished next time i would ...

I would open my mouth a bit more and not look at my friend so i don't get the giggles and practice more in front of friends first.

Next time i deliver a speech i will ...

Maybe open my mouth a bit more so i sound a bit clearer and practice infront of friends before i deliver my speech and not laugh because i am looking at my mates.

Mask

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

The hardest part of making my mask was cutting the eye holes out because it took time and i have no patience and if you didn't pay attention for just one second it would be a complete fail .

The colours i decided to use represent grey and red , red because it is one of my favourite colours and i thought grey looked well with red so i did that.

My mask is suitable for celebrating 30 years at culutural festival because it is really relaxing.

Native bird drawing

I chose this funny looking bird. Firstly I started off by drawing the outline of the bird. The art teacher  told us to gradually get darker with the colours so i did that. We only had one and a half hours to finish our project. I scraped in and finished but next time i will take my time and put more detail into my picture so it will make it  better. She said the more detail the better the picture. The artist who drew the native birds  had a passion for them, took about 6 weeks to finish one project, so for one and a half hours I think I did a good drawing of my native bird. I had a good time and now I am going to use these skills again and keep them in the back of my mind for later on in my life, just incase a drawing or shading competition for money comes up.
