Kapa haka

The day was here,we were ready to perform in front of thousands of people. The butterflies were flapping in my stomach,I nervously walk onto the brobdingnagian. The host had just called on B
Burnham Primary all the way from the CBS arena.

It was the 30th anniversary for the cultural festival so we wanted to make this performance special. The cultural festival is when most of the schools around Christchurch come together and show there talents. The cultural festival has been going for 30 straight years.

The cultural festival was great to watch, not knowing if the rest of the crown was going to enjoy our fierce and joyful performance. I felt quite confident walking up on stage as well as being very nervous.

I had to lead the first haka knowing that all these great practices has all come down to this. We lead with our haka and got more joyful with our last two songs.

To be honest I was very happy with our performance, especially our haka. Knowing you tried your best is a very good feeling as I walked off the stage with a smile on my face.
